Pre-order an Iris now and pick up mid to 3rd week of May. They attract Hummingbirds and Butterflies!
Iris is an unassuming plant but when it blooms it's amazing, reminds me of an exotic bird.
Bloom Time: May to June
Size at Pick up: This is in a 4.5" pot, will fit easily into Car
Iris are a 'Herbaceous Perennial' that means that they survive year after year, coming back each spring. In the fall, after a frost, they die back to the ground, and in the spring they grow again from the roots.
Maintenance: In the fall, after a very hard frost, trim the laves back to the ground so they are 2" tall. Or you can wait to trim them in the spring, but it's easier in the fall.
Where to plant in your yard? Somewhere there is some direct sunlight, they are not picky.
Zone 3, so its definitely hardy for our area.
We will notify you when its in and ready for pick up. Your plant will not be in full bloom at time of pick up.
