The hollyhock, Alcea, is a classic English cottage garden plant, forming tall erect racemes of large, fully open blooms from summer to early autumn. Plants are typically perennial, but they’re often grown as biennials.

Alcea rosea ‘Peaches n Dreams’  bears tall flower spikes of fully double, power-puff blooms in peach-cream, some with a hint of pink. It’s easy to grow and perfect for planting in groups at the back of a sunny border. For best results, grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut down Alcea rosea ‘Peaches n Dreams’ after flowering to encourage fresh basal growth.

Hollyhock is a 'Herbaceous Perennial' that means that they survive year after year, coming back each spring. In the fall, after a frost, thet die back to the ground, and in the spring they grow again from the roots/seeds.

Maintenance: In the fall, we want to shake out the seed pods, you can gather the seed heads and shake them in areas you want more hollyhock the following year, if you leave them, they will fall naturally or "as the wind blows". Remove the dead stem in fall or very early.

Zone 3, so its definitely hardy for our area.

We will notify you when its in and ready for pick up. Your plant will not be in full bloom at time of pick up.
