Asparagus plants are a perennial and will over winter, but like all perennials must be planted in the ground to survive, not in a pot. The plant must be left to grow again next year, not necessary to prune or trim it in the fall. Asparagus plants are one of the very first plants to grow in the spring and often the first asparagus will grow through the snow, cut them off at ground level with a knife when young and tender for best results. Majority of the harvest is in May.

Maintenance: Make sure to mark your asparagus plants so they do not accidentally get tilled up. Asparagus plants can be planted among your flower beds as well.

Where to plant in your yard? Somewhere there is direct sunlight, full sun to part sun.

Zone 3, so its definitely hardy for our area.

We will notify you when its in and ready for pick up. Your plant will not be in full bloom at time of pick up.
